There is a small graveyard at Hardwicke. This is the headstone of John Mahoney, who survived the Invercauld wreck, only to later die of starvation.

  1. His shipmate Robert Holding, I believe, blamed Mahoney for the deaths of two boys who were part of the crew. Mahoney had them gather him food while he lazed in shelter.
